Huge Dog Fighting Rings Raided In 5 States

This past Wednesday 350 to 500 dogs were rescued from what is being called the largest simultaneous raid on dog fighting rings in the history of the United States. The operations were carried out in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Texas and Oklahoma. 30 individuals were arrested during the raids by federal, state and local law enforcement.

The future of the seized dogs is currently unknown. They each will undergo a behavioral evaluation, but no solid information is known about where they will be going. The dogs are currently being held at an emergency shelter in St. Louis
