Boxer Mix Wins 2009 “Ugliest Dog Contest”
A new champion has been crowned as the “World’s Ugliest Dog!”. The contest was held this past Friday at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in California. (You can see last year’s winner, Gus, here)
The 4 year old Boxer mix named Pabst ( for his “bitter beer face”) was adopted from a shelter 3 years ago by his owner Miles Egstad. I have to say I think Pabst may have a bit of Dogue De Bordeaux somewhere in there as well!

Pabst beat out Miss Ellie, a 15 year old Chinese Crested who is missing the majority of her teeth. (Miss Ellie did take home the Ugliest Pedigree as well as the Ugly Runner-Up title).

Pabst won $1600 cash, pet supplies, a professional photo shoot, a canine modeling contract and a large trophy.

Maybe it’s just me, but I think that Chinese Crested is adorable. I would love to own one

I think the chinese crested is ugly. The “boxer mix” looks like a full blooded french mastiff, and he’s adorable.
