Dog Facts: How Many Teeth Do You Have In There?
Dog have a lot of teeth in there! Did you know that dogs have 42 teeth while humans have 32? Like us, dogs have a set of baby teeth that they loose during their first months of life - 28 in fact. Teething starts around 16 weeks of age and ends somewhere around 7 months. An adult set of teeth consists of 12 incisors (for nibbling gently on bones or grooming themselves and others), 4 canines (for grabbing and holding items, 16 premolars (for grabbing food and chewing toys) and 10 molars (for crushing and grinding).

Very interesting! I had no idea dogs had more teeth than us. I don’t know how my little Maltese fits them all in that tiny mouth of hers!
