Introducing “Stuff On My Greyhound” – A New Dog Reflections Feature!

November 25th, 2008 by Dan

Some of you may be familiar with the “Stuff On My Cat” craze – where individuals place interesting and unusual (or common and amusing) objects on their feline friends and photograph them for the world to see.

With the passing of Proposition 3 (Which bans dog racing in Massachusetts – the sport will be phased out by 2010), Greyhound Rescues within MA and the surrounding areas will be inundated with retired racing Greyhounds in need of homes. Leo, the “spokesgrey” featured in “Stuff On My Greyhound”, lives in Boston and was adopted from Greyhound Welfare (which is based in Maryland, but places dogs throughout New England). Greyhound Friends is a Massachusetts based rescue that is sure to see an influx of dogs come in as the days of the tracks come to a close. Hopefully, “Stuff On My Greyhound” will have more people considering a rescued Greyhound as a choice for their new companion. Look for new photos twice a month!

Greyhounds are wonderful, mellow companions and can be ideal dogs for those who live in apartments if they are given regular long strolls.

If you have a Greyhound that you’d like to see featured in our “Stuff” posts – send your photos to Dan@dogguide.net
