Book Review: “The Dogs Who Found Me: What I’ve Learned from Pets Who Were Left Behind”

July 22nd, 2008 by Dan

Ken Foster is a fan of Pit Bulls. I knew this even before I picked up “The Dogs Who Found Me”, as I had heard him speaking a while back on NPR and enjoyed what he had to say. Being that everyone knows I am a supported of Bully Breeds, I was given this book as a gift and it lived on my shelf for quite a while (I always have a bunch of “Dog literature” to check out). Finally, I got around to opening this book and I am thankful I did! The book touches on the stories of many canines who have ingrained themselves in Foster’s memory. From the dogs who helped him through the 911 attacks (Foster lived in NY) to the tales of Hurricane Katrina, Foster’s connection with “lost” animals is honest and eye opening.

Check out “The Dogs Who Found Me: What I’ve Learned from Pets Who Were Left Behind”. I highly recommend it to anyone who has ever rescued a dog.
