Ask The Dog Guide: Staffordshire Bull Terrier With Webbed Feet
Question:
We have just bought what we were told is a pure Staffordshire Bull Terrier pup. Does this breed have webbed feet? It is not slight webbing it is very noticeable.
Answer:
Thanks for your question!
Staffordshire Bull Terriers, as a breed do not have excessive webbing between their toes. For more on breeds with webbed feet click here) Does your puppy have a pedigree from a reputable breeder? If so, there should be little reason to think that this webbing is due to a cross breeding with another type of dog and more due to a slight tumble of the genetic dice. However, because Staffy Bulls are not the most common breed, some individuals will try and make a quick buck - trying to pass off mixed breed puppies to unsuspecting owners.
Good luck with your puppy! (For more on breeds with webbed feet click here)

Your dog may have some lineage from a Catahoula dog. I have found several that have reminded me a lot of a pitbull, but the Catahoula has very distict webbed feet and from what I understand can use them to climb a tree when bear hunting. The Cats I have seen have beautiful blue eyes, some are multicolored, but some just are two-toned. They are very beautiful dogs.
