Product Review: Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball

June 10th, 2008 by Dan

I have a few treat balls to keep Reef and Lucian busy, but the Omega Paw Tricky Treat Ball has a few features that make it a favorite here. Unlike many of the other toys that dispense treats, the Tricky Treat Ball is soft rubber – it doesn’t make a horrible noise while rolling across the floor and it isn’t hard enough to damage anything in your house (or your dogs teeth!). The surface of the ball has many little indents, to make it easier for your dog to pick up the toy and carry it around. You can insert your dogs favorite dry treats or kibble into the hole in the ball and watch as he tries to figure out how to get it all out.

This ball is a great way to keep your dog stimulated while you are out of the house and may help dogs with separation anxiety stay occupied. The ball measures 5 x 5 x 5 inches – it is an ideal toy for medium and large sized dogs, although even smaller dogs are able to roll around the light-weight ball.
