3 Legged Chinese Crested Wins 2008 “Ugliest Dog” Contest

Gus, a 3 legged Chinese Crested may be rough on the eyes, but his “unique” looks brought him fame at this years “Ugliest Dog” Contest, held at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in California. The purebred Chinese Crested was rescued from an abusive home by his current owners and has had quite a tough life - besides his 3 legged status, Gus lost an eye in a run-in with a cat and is currently suffering from skin cancer. Gus took home 2 trophies as well as $1600 cash that his owners plan to use towards his radiation treatments.
