Uno the Beagle Wins BIS - Westminster Kennel Club Best In Show 2008
Multi BIS BISS CH K-Run’s Park Me In First did just that! He parked himself right into the Best In Show spot at the 132nd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Not only a career rocking win for himself but for his entire breed. Uno is the first Beagle to win the Hound Group since 1939, as well as the first Beagle to ever win BIS at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

As it turns out, Uno is true to his bloodline. He ended 2007 as the first Beagle in a long while to make it to the #1 spot in the Hound group. That hadn’t happened since his Great Granddam Judy, (CH. Lanbur Miss Fleetwood) was ranked #1 Hound 14 years ago! In 1970, Judy’s Great Grandsire, CH. The Whim’s Buckeye was also #1 Hound. Parker, (CH. Windkist A Walk In The Park) Uno’s sire, won Best In Breed in 2004 and 2005 at Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, and also ranked #1 Beagle (over 13 inches) during 2004 and 2005. I think Uno has filled his (15 inch) shoes well.
Congratulations to Uno’s breeders: K. Weichert and L. Bertagnolli, and owners: C. Dowell, E. Dziuk, J. Woodring, and K. Weichert, for such a spectacular win.
